Mid Spring


The spring ephemerals, daffodils, and bleeding hearts are done.  It’s time for the late spring flowers, which includes my favorite columbine. The variety that’s been growing in my yard for years is a bit different from what you see in catalogs.  The inner petals are deeply cupped and don’t open up like many others.

It’s interesting from the side as well…
