Millwrights and Piledrivers

Workmen have been repairing storm sewers in the neighborhood this week, and I hope this means that the long-promised repaving of the circle is about to begin. The roads were only in fair shape when we moved in almost 20 years ago, and now they’re a shambles.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

By the way, the paper taped to the door of the ‘rest facility’ lists prevailing wages for construction workers in Delaware.  Piledrivers top the list at $65.17/hour.  What does a pile driver do exactly?  Millwrights make $59.65.  Again, what does a millwright mill?  On the low end, plasterers are paid $18.40/hour.
