Bubblegum Allergy

Marianne has a seasonal cough that starts as the temperature dips and seems to get worse during the Christmas holidays. As an experiment, we de-ornamented the tree and disposed of all Pinaceae. It’s the earliest this has ever happened in our household – the traditional target for removal of Christmas is the Feast of the Epiphany.

Shown in the picture is a new ornament this year, which replaces another bubblegum machine that was broken by some thoughtless tree decorator years ago.

Harsh dude! Thoughtless? But what about the years of jokes at her expense? Then the replacement! She made Christmas even better.

Oh! And I don’t think that will solve moms cough. Doesn’t hurt to try though!

Hey! It’s just one last inside joke! Decorating the tree won’t be the same from now on.
